A MOVIE SCRIPT

I wrote the screenplay first back in 2015 and thought about creating a book from the movie script. Yeah, I know…that process is considered backward traditionally. Yet, I am no more traditional than my father was.

My website had the book DEATH ANGEL as something that I would be writing. Sure, I still am, but the movie would be amazingly cool, so I am concentrating on that way of telling the story of my father, Lt. Col. Allen LeRoy Frucci, USMC (deceased). Perhaps I will turn the screenplay into a book someday…perhaps not.

The image below is a Citiation describing why my father was awarded a medal…his second Distinguished Flying Cross. That medal is not given out lightly and is soley for Heroism during combat.

The thing is, it reads like a scene in a movie. I never saw this while he was alive. Dad was quiet about many things, especially his tour in Vietnam during the height of the war. Shortly after he died suddenly while fishing in the Oregon Inlet on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, my brother and I found this Citation in a trunk he had stashed in the attic of his home. This was just one of many items we found. For sons of a Hero, it was like finding gold.
