Note To My Brothers: Three Hours of Frustration-Or-Three Minutes and You're Done
Subtitle: When you have a question about how to do something, try asking first.
So, a few mornings ago, I was all excited about the 2016 Hay House World Summit and the fact that I was asked to create a lesson that Hay House would be blasting out to the world. Who wouldn't? It's cool and life-changing.
I worked hard on creating the class. I nailed the interview session with best-selling author, Nancy Levin while the dude at Hay House was recording the session via Skype. I've been working furiously on dialing in my new website in preparation for this moment in time (still have work to do to make it better...hang on...it will be).
While testing the opt in link, I noticed a glitch and it pissed me off. As soon as I hit the button to opt in, all of the fields were there like email address and name. The button was there to hit which would take you to the link in order to get your free lessons including mine when it goes live on May 7th. The screwed up thing was you couldn't read the field titles because the fonts were almost as dark as the background. Great. I thought to myself, "Whoever created this page is an idiot!" I was the idiot.
My masculine energy took over immediately. My ego took control.
"I can fix this!"
For the next three freaking hours, even though I had a crap-load of other stuff to do, I dove hard into trying to correct the mistake I made. I never once asked anyone to help me. Why should I? I can figure this out, it's just a button I need to push...somewhere...someplace...I think.
Frustrated and ready to go meditate or take a hike with Lucky, I had a brilliant idea. It was like a gift from the heavens with birds singing, fairies dancing wildly and prettily little butterflies dancing in a calm breeze. K, that's a little weird and I can't believe I just wrote that.
What was the idea? Use the "Help" section. Duh.
I opened up a new browser page, clicked the "Help" button, typed in "How to modify a form" in the search box and had my answer in less than three minutes. It took less than a minute to fix the problem. 'Nuf said.
Below is the fixed link for the Hay House World Summit. Click it and opt in. Why? My ego wants you to do it, because I spent a lot of time on it and it wants to feel good about all the work I put into it. My Soul wants you to do it because the content at Hay House is epic and there are 100 free lessons in multiple categories which will help you conquer issues with Health, Spirituality, Prosperity, Relationships and Self-Empowerment (which is the category where my lesson resides).
So, if you were thinking my title might have been about sex...you're obviously wrong...but it would be a funny title for something quite different. Yes? LOL.
